Mackinac Island, Michigan

Star Line Mackinac Island Ferry
Yep! It's just about time for me to take a small break to regenerate my soul and my body. Simply staying away from the thesis for a little while is absolutely a treat. I'm glad to see the sun, the lake and the island. A delightful breeze from the north makes me feel so relaxing.

Pike Place Market, Seattle (My Top Five Picks)

The Front Entrance of the Market at Pike St. and First Ave

The fishermen have the excellent skills at throwing fish. I believe they never miss the timing to catch the flying fish. They also like to entertain buyers and visitors. Very pleasant atmosphere and lots of fun. The "must see" spot!

You can get all variety of magazines here, including nasty porns:)

Look at these colourful gorgeous. Just Love them!

University of Washington, Seattle

Suzzallo Library
The library was named for educator Henry Suzzallo, university president from 1915 to 1926, when he was ousted following a prolonged controversy with the governor. The library, designed by Carl Gould, was built in 1926 and was named for Suzzallo seven years later.
Drumheller Fountain
Drumheller Fountain, in the center of Frosh Pond, was a gift from Regent Joseph Drumheller for the university's centennial celebration in 1961. You can even enjoy the view of Mt. Rainier in a good sunny day from here.

My Neighbors, Flowering Trees and Spring

It's a beautiful afternoon to take a casual walk around the neighborhood at Center Ave in Bay City. I'm glad that I take my camera with me so I could grasp the moment of spring at these gorgeous flowering trees.

East Attic of the Asia Library at the University of Michigan

Because of Mei Lanfang (one of my research topics), I've got the chance to visit the Asia Library (one of the biggest Asia Library Systems in north America) of the University of Michigan. Not Only I checked out a lot of precious resources and materials about traditional Chinese Opera, but I had the wonderful experience to explore the oldest attic of the library and to stay there doing some works. Let me be honest, however, I just felt uneasy while I was standing between the shelves. It's a rather creepy place, actually.

The Park Shelton Apartment, Detroit

This is the apartment where I used to live for three-year in Detroit. It's located at the corner of Woodward and E. Kirby. Lots of wonderful memories there...
